This weekend is Dusshera in India (to celebrate the victory of Ram over Ravan, i.e., good over evil). Its great fun to go to the local mela or gymkhana grounds, where the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnath are blasted with bombs…its a energy packed atmosphere, and there will be lots of vendors with trinkets, balloons, flutes, and face masks -Very festive ambiance This video captures some of the good moments.
